Why am I taking triple the max damage of elemental spells? - Page 2 - Guild Wars Forums

I'm not really sure Arduinna, when I went back out I was getting hit for 100 too. But this morning right before I posted this, I was at the northern end of the Skyway fighting Jade Brotherhood near the Tengu camp there and I was definitely hit for 300ish by dragon stomp. I don't think there is a boss around there though. If I get back that way and it happens again I'll hopefully catch a shot of it though.

Level and attribute pumps that mobs get in PvE. Yes, it sucks. How do you defend against [Sliver Armor] doing 100+ damage PER HIT? Yeah, PS and SoA, but if they're already cast or come 1/4s too late...

Hmmm, will go there myself to check it out too. Maybe a Tengu is messing with you.

Are you sure your bow isn't dmg +15%/armor -10? And could you post Mox's skillbar? Trying to identify all the variables here.

So far you have only shown a screenshot of 1 damage source, and it fits with what we were telling you. It was a boss (double damage), it was higher than level 20, and it had a skill bonus (holding an item).

If you ARE taking that much damage from a level 20 Elementalist spell, check to see the damage info displayed. It will tell you how many times you got hit by a particular spell. Perhaps you were hit by 2 or 3 Dragon Stomps at the same time. And although you posted a picture of your armor, I'm not able to read it. Maybe it is my browser settings or something, but the text is too small for me to read, and I didn't find a way to enlarge your picture. Only thing I could tell was one piece was Radiant of Minor Vigor. I'm guessing the picture is accurate though, so make sure you check how many times you are getting hit and by which spell(s). Could just be you get spiked by several spells at once.
